Energy Star 230 CFM Inline Exhaust Fan with 6" Round Ducting
The Inline Exhaust Fan Kits provide all of the components needed for an ENERGY STAR® Qualified installation except the ducting.

Excellent Fan
I just got done installing the inline fan in both the upper and lower bath in my duplex. It is amazingly quiet and powerful. My tennant says it does an excellent job of keeping the steam out and doesn't annoy her by being too loud. I highly reccomend it to any one who needs a powerful yet quiet fan.

Can I use this fan to move air from a room with a fireplace to rooms that need heat (2) rooms 15-20 feet away?
The answer to your question is YES. You can use this in line fan kit as a means of heat transfer. You can wire it to a switch or in line with a thermostat, to control temperature better.
Will using only one inlet grill still give 230cfm or should two be installed in the same room to maximize airflow?
The Air King AIK26Y will still move 230cfm using a single duct.
