Energy Star 230 CFM Inline Exhaust Fan with 6" Round Ducting
Excellent Exhaust Fan system
We recently installed this unit in a client's Master Bath where they were having moisture problems. The fan unit was easy to mount and wire in the attic space. We installed (2) grill vents to cover the 300 sqft bathroom space. Easy to install...only issue with the vents was the clamps which secure it tight to the drywall were not of the best design so the grill tended to not stay tight to the ceiling. We added a bit of white caulk around the rim to hold it in place.
Make sure you use insulated piping to make vent to fan and fan to exhaust connections. Do NOT use the recommended timer switch offered here. It does not allow the client to shut off the fan if they want to. One of our's stopped working a day after installation.
The clients are very happy with the performance and low noise level of the fan unit!

maybe the best exhaust fan
I have bought Airking inline fans before and I have used them in my own home. I have not used others, so I don't know about them. I can say I have two 230 cfm units in my home for 13 years (renovated in 2000) they are silent, they are powerful and they continue to work (13 years later).
I have installed them in condominiums and had to convince buyers that they are actually there (tissue next to the intake vent). I have recomended them to many with positive results
If you have the space, this is soooo much better than a "vanity fan".

Very pleased & kit made install simple
I am very happy with this fan! As a do it yourselfer, being able to buy the complete kit with everything needed to install the fan was very helpful, including the zip ties & duct collars.
Installation was pretty straightforward, but I did leave the wiring to a pro in order to make sure the wiring was correct so the switches worked properly & independently.
The fan itself is very quiet and it does draw out the moisture from the bathroom after a shower within a few minutes. Works much better than previous solution of opening the window to vent moisture.
I can confirm what some of the other reviewers said that the vent covers do not hold exactly flush to the ceiling. The strength of the spring clips are not quite strong enough to hold firm against the duct, but this is a nit.
You will not be disappointed with purchase of this fan kit.

Very good product
We needed a quiet fan to ventilate a sunroom and this worked out great! Installation was not difficult and with the fan approximately 8 feet from the intakes, there is virtually no noise. We have been using it for several weeks now and everything works as promised-we recommend this for anyone wanting a quality ventilation system for a small room/bath.

I just got done installing the inline fan in both the upper and lower bath in my duplex. It is amazingly quiet and powerful. My tennant says it does an excellent job of keeping the steam out and doesn't annoy her by being too loud. I highly reccomend it to any one who needs a powerful yet quiet fan.

Performance Good - Component Fitment Not Good
This exhaust fan works great and it is very quite. The "Y" fitting, that brings the two exhaust hoses together, is very difficult to securely attach to the fan itself. Had to perform a little southern engineering to get a good fit. Overall, I am very pleased with this fan.

What the owner wanted
The inline exhaust fan was perfect for what the owner wanted helping reduce cost by eliminating one fan, electrical hookup, and roof hood. they are happy with the product.
