390 CFM 18 Inch Wide Stainless Steel Range Hood Insert with Dishwasher-Safe Aluminum Mesh Filter and Dual Halogen Lamps
Best in class
I am very please with this unit. I would like to have had a better idea of how much CFM I need so to help you out this is how mine works.
This unit went into an island hood 32" above the stove. The vent line is 30' long with one 90deg bend and two 45deg bends. There is a back draft damper on the outside of the house as well as on the unit.
That said the cfm is very good.
I use low and med setting for most things and get almost all the steam out.
On high I can easly deepfry over the stove and 95% or more of the smoke goes out the hood. It did work for seasoning some cast iron. This is a smokey process. It vented about 90% of the smoke.
the noise is good too
Low is hard to hear at all
Med is noticeable but very quite
high is a little loud but so is cooking somthing that needs that much vent.
If you want a hood that will vent everything this is not it. I would look at 600 cfm or more. If you want a cost effective vent hood that is upper mid range and vents almost everything this is it.
Hope this helps.

product is great . only problem was with the instructions to instal. I couldnt figure out what or how the sliding clips do that hold the unit into the hood liner , or how you would get the bolt behind the unit if you instslled the hood liner first. so Installed the unit into the liner first and then installed them both into my wood cabinet togrther . I lifted it up and used two wood clamps to hold it in place and then screwed it in . What ever those two metel slide in and flip up brackets did could never compare to the job I did.My way worked .

Excellent power fan
This fan really pulls the air...very powerful. It's a bit loud on high, but medium and low are fine. This fan fit in the upper cabinet above the cooktop. It's a perfect size because it doesn't project too far. This size fan is difficult to find. It's a little gem!

This venting device is excellent. On the lowest speed, it is barely audible. The light fixture requires two bulbs and sheds plenty of light on the cooking surface. The stainless steel interior surfaces are easy to keep clean.

Budget conscious high-end look
We have used this for two of our lower budget, high-end kitchen remodels because it has an affordable price point, is quiet and has halogen lights which is a must have for a vent hood! No other mfg offers the same quality and look without charging more for the product. Since you don't see much of the hood, don't order stainless, just go with the silver color for a great look at a great price!

I purchased this insert blower to be installed into the soffitt above my cooktop. The item came faster then the estimated timeframe and it looked just like the picture. It is very well made and it works perfectly for my particular application. My husband, and installer, said it was simple and easy to install. We are very impressed both with the company and with the product!!

Purchased this Blower and I could not be more pleased. this baby is quiet and powerful!. If using at third setting, highest speed it gets a little louder. we rarely do. the lowest setting does it for us. simple, sleek in design, easy to clean and easy to install. now if i could just finish my backsplash.

It really works well
The fan itself is attractive. The Fan does exhaust plenty of air. The fan does not include lightbulbs which are $7 each. After installing we ran the fan and it was really loud. We had to dissasemble the fan and insulated around it to cut the noise. All in all it's a good fan for the price.

I love the vent. It runs really quiet. I am disappointed in how difficult it is to put the lights in. The look is nice, the lights are bright so overall I think we'll enjoy it. Only time will tell. Just wish the light bulbs went in easier.

I like the looks of it although it is a bit louder than I thought it would be. I haven't had a chance to use it yet to actually get the smoke out while cooking, so I can't comment on that yet but other than that I am happy with it.
