About American Standard:
An American brand with over 140 years of innovations, American Standard is defined by experience, intelligence, and indelible influence. As the patriarch for nearly every key product category for the kitchen and bath, their offering shows a level of thoughtfulness and sophistication that could only be attributed to a company with a legacy as rich as that of American Standard. Today, professional plumbers and contemporary DIY home owners continue to turn to American Standard because they appreciate this legacy and know they can trust the innovations behind each product. It is for this reason that American Standard is so widely used within residential and commercial projects in both the United States and abroad - their products truly deliver, just as they have for generations. This product is listed under the following manufacturer number(s):

Thank you for your question. The American Standard 2460.002 does sit on the floor
The American Standard 2460.002 doesn't have a specified backrest "grade". We can infer that it slopes very sharply, reaching the bottom of the well from the rim after about 3" of horizontal distance. This is derived from using the manufacturer specification sheet, and other measurements presented.
The American Standard 2460.002 is a left hand drain, the American Standard 2461.002 is a right hand drain.
The American Standard 2460.002 does not have armrests, but it does have an option for drilling for a grab bar. I would suggest looking at the Kohler K-1123-LA for a tub with armrests.
The American Standard 2460.002 is 60 x 32 x 17-3/4 In. (outside dimensions) & 54" x 26" x 17"(bathing well dimensions). Hope this helps!
Vikrell is an acrylic composite material, while Americast is a cheaper lighter alternative to Cast Iron. They are both scratch resistant.
The American Standard 2460.002 bath tub has an Integral lumbar support with a beveled headrest.
Any shower surround with compatible measurements will work with this tub.
The American Standard 2460.002 is recommended to be used with items American Standard 1583.470 or American Standard 1640.305.
The American Standard 2460.002 has a slip-resistant cover so it will not be slippery like most models.
The American Standard 2461.002 is the right hand drain model. The tub waste showing required twice is just an error that needs to be fixed and will be corrected soon. Thank you.
The American Standard 2460.002 can have a shower door installed with this item
The American Standard 2460.002 is has a slope of the back of the tub is 26 degrees.
The American Standard 2460.002 weighs 118 lbs.
The Americast tub is easy to clean and similar to cast iron.

Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.
Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
