Hampton Tub and Shower Trim Package with Single Function Shower Head and Diverter Tub Spout
Not the quality/look I was expecting
I was updating a guest bathroom to bring it into the 21st century in order to sell my house, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a faucet. This was about my only option in the price range where I was looking for this style faucet system. I find it to be really cheap feeling - light - seems like aluminum or something coated with chrome. The pressure out of the shower head is terrible, the water just kind of "falls out" instead of being forced out. I am happy that I didn't buy this for my personal use. That said, it gets the job done for not a lot of money.

Check the fit
Check the distance you have between spout and handles before buying. We put the new ones in at the same place as the old handles and spout. The new spout just cleared the new turning center handle. Otherwise the unit looks good.

a really substanstial product for the money
slight drawback in that the handles are plastic while the rest of the fixture is very heavy solid brass -- a puzzle why American Std would stop short

Looks great, happened to get a faulty piece
Looks great but...
My order included a faulty piece of cast brass...one end of the large fitting that attaches to the three handles was plugged up. I called the company, not the vendor, as directed by included instructions, and a new one was sent immediately. It did put a delay on the project and I was glad I have another shower! This could happen to anyone, but I think between the company and the vendor there should be some testing--quality control.

Product Cannot Be Installed
Plumber was not able to install faucet correctly. Everything was too short. Took 4 1/2 hours to get it sort of working. Called manufacturer--they say it's an installation issue. Plumber says it is a hardware issue. Customer is at a loss to know what to do and is out several hundred dollars.

I should have read the reviews about this faucet before I purchased this. It is very expensive for it to be defective, it leaks from the hot water valve, the plumber installed it, and leaked heavily. The plumber came back to replace the cartridge that he thought would help. IT DID NOT. Can't tear the bathroom tile now to return, the whole ordeal has been a nightmare, now I have a leaky faucet and out 250.00 plus plumber fees. DON'T BUY this product.

center diverter level does operate a little less than smoothly over it's range.

Fit our needs
Choices are limited on this old style of faucet. We needed one to replace the original in the bathroom of our 1960's house. Since we were about to put the house on the market and not intending to remodel, we had to find one that fit the existing set-up. The Hampton does so nicely. It's a little old-fashioned looking and definitely low-end, but it works very well and is a huge improvement on what was there.

Just what I wanted!
The style looked even better when it arrived. The valve and plumbing parts where heavy duty and installed easily. The handles and mounts are attractive and strong. This is just what I was looking for.
