Product Technologies:

  • Lifetime Warranty: As an American company, American Standard faucets are built tough. Their products live longer in one place than most people do. Drip-free ceramic disc valves, high-grade lead-free brass alloys, and stainless steel drain cables name just a few of the features which make American Standard bathroom faucets the industry’s longest lasting. To back this up, all American Standard faucets are covered under a lifetime warranty.
  • Indestructible Finishes: Through employing only the best finishing practices, such as physical vapor deposition, American Standard faucet finishes are some of the strongest in the industry. When the finish is actually incorporated into the faucet, rather than a coating on the outside, the result is a flawless appearance that eliminates tarnishing, pitting, and peeling while hiding scratches. For this reason, American Standard faucet finishes are fully covered under the lifetime warranty.
  • Speed Connect System: Assembling, connecting, and adjusting the pop-up drain within the tight space of a vanity cabinet is undeniably the most difficult task when installing a bathroom faucet. Not so with American Standard, though. Each bathroom faucet is supplied with their patented Speed Connect Drains, which simply plug into the faucet and drain. No wrenches, special tools or plumber’s putty are needed. You also won’t need to apply torque to seal the drain or to fuss with the lift rod height. With Speed Connect Drains, bathroom faucet installs take minutes, not hours.
  • Water Conscious: As the 2012 EPA WaterSense partner of the year, American Standard faucets are acclaimed for saving water without sacrificing performance. Through the use of the latest pressure compensating aerators, American Standard faucets save 32% more water than other brands/models. This means that their faucets pay for themselves throughout the life of their use. They also splash less, too.

American Standard 7430.801 Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs Re-engineering My husband picked out this faucet because of its dramatic appearance. I hired a plumber to install it. Plumber said it appeared someone had handled the faucet parts prior to my receiving them. The pop-up lever for the drain was broken and the aerator screen was stuck too far inside the spout. Plumber was able to install the faucet, with difficulty, but the water came out of the faucet in 3 streams. I ordered a replacement pop-up rod kit from the manufacturer. When it came I installed the pop-up lever, which fixed one problem. I tried to order a replacement spout kit so I could replace the aerator screen, but the manufacturer's rep told me she could not send a spout kit, because the aerator and spout are "under development." This told me the manufacturer knows there is a problem with the spout and aerator. The aerator removal key that came with the faucet is peculiar-looking and has no instructions on how to use it. I tried and failed to use it to pull the aerator out of the spout. I finally used a crochet hook to pull the aerator down into the correct position in the spout. Of course I damaged the screen in the process. The water now flows more or less in one stream, but it is erratic and it splashes. Because my husband likes the look of the faucet, we kept it, but it does not perform satisfactorily and I do not recommend it. (Fortunately, I am not the one who has to use it.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique This faucet and handles are so sharp looking and I like the feature where you can turn the faucet to either side. These are very different from other faucets and look beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish faucet Just installed 2 of them. Working well so far. Water comes out from rectangular spout and coalesces into a small round stream. Faucet is also moveable left to right, which is handy if you want to move it off to the side temporarily. There may be a tendency for the aerator to get some small clogs which result in a haphazard or separated stream. This is especially true at first install. You need to remove the aerator before first turning on the water to allow small debris to first clear out. If this happens, a call to American Standard should provide a new aerator on warranty.
