Does it attach to 1/2" water connection? Why is it called "slip on"?

A. The American Standard 8888.730 Slip On Diverter Tub Spout connects to a standard 1/2" connection. This model literally "Slips On" to the plumbing coming from the wall

The spout I am replacing was a threaded screw on, will this work as a replacement? And the diverter feature I assume refers to the water being able to be diverted to the shower head? Thanks

A. The American Standard 8888.730 is a slip on tub spout not a threaded screw on. The diverter does refer to the water being diverter between the spout and shower head.

Could you recommend a wall tub filler which will work with the T18240-XO AND R18222-XO

A. I would suggest item number T2710lhp and the handles required would be item number H640. If you are needing the rough in valve you would nee item number R2707.
