Rough In Valve Required

Double Handle Thermostatic Valve Trim Only with Volume Control from the Green Tea Collection

Valve Not Included.
Cast brass valve body.
Single unit contains two handles.
Bottom lever handle sets the desired temperature and the top handle functions as an on/off volume control.
Temperature is maintained by a wax element moving a shuttle valve between hot and cold.
Volume is controlled by twin ceramic disc valve cartridges.
Ceratherm includes Hot Limit Safety Stop.
Maximum temperature is 112 degrees F.
Escutcheon plate is stamped brass.
Available with 1/2" or 3/4" NPT inlets and outlets.
Valve has a high flow rate ideal for multiple outlet installations.
Less valve: For use with R520 or R540 Valves.

Double Handle Thermostatic Valve Trim Only with Volume Control from the Green Tea Collection 3 5 1 1

Not working I like the look, however, American Standard sent instructions for the valve that goes with this trim, showing to install it upside down. My plumber followed the directions because that's what it said to do..even tho he told me it looked wrong. It didn't work, he had to undo and reinstall correctly (I saw the instructions myself showing the picture and could see it was incorrect). Well, it still isn't working. Trying to locate another tiny part that we didn't know we needed because when ordered, it didn't show there was anything else needed. The only place it was seen, was on the instructions which showed "not included" and that was AFTER we opened the box and started install. Would have been nice to know beforehand. December 1, 2010

Does this trim kit include the shower arm and head?

The American Standard T010.740 does not come with a shower head, shower arm nor the rough in valve. You can chose any shower head and arm, however the rough in you need for complete installation is R520 or R540. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you and have a great day!

what 3?4" rough in valves are required for this two-handled therm/volume control?

The 3/4" rough in for the T010.740 is the R540.
