Traditional Style Single Cylinder Deadbolt for a 1-5/8" Bore Hole

Keep your home safe with this stylish single cylinder deadbolt. Its unique design is the perfect finishing touch to any door. The single cylinder design is locked and unlocked by key on the outside and push turn on the inside.

Deadbolt case i8s formed with heavy gauge steel
Grade 1 ANSI Rating
Specially-designed reinforcing strike constructed of high grade steel for ultimate strength and durability
The cylinder housing is protected with a free-turning exterior cylinder guard fabricated from solid brass to resist gripping or twisting

Dimensions Have Changed I was replacing the same Baldwin deadbolt from 18 years ago and found that the new one's fit wasn't identical. I had to do a lot of fine trimming to open up the hole in the door to get the new lock to fit properly. This was a nuisance. But it had nothing to do with the Handlesets people -- it's just the Baldwin guys changing the design somewhat over the years, making retrofit difficult. October 29, 2010

A very nice lock This is a very nice lock. A good hefty feel and a smooth action. Significantly nicer than the Schlage lock it replaced. December 5, 2008

You get what you pay for You really do get what you pay for, Baldwin stuff is heavy duty. Every door in our old house has been refitted with Baldwin knob sets and deadbolts. It's nice to be able to buy them as we need them and still have them keyed alike. September 17, 2008

What are the measurements of the cylinder cover?

The Baldwin 8031 is made for a 1 5/8" bored hole and the cylinder collar is 2" in diameter.

Does this cylinder come with keys

The Baldwin 8031 is a single cylinder that will include two keys.

What is the width of the collar on this?

The Baldwin 8031 is 2" in diameter and made to fit a 1-5/8" bore hole. The projection of the collar is .7".

When installing deadbolts on 1-3/8” thick doors, optional Cylinder Collar Spacers are required (No. 8097). Do you sell these collar spacers for the Baldwin 8031?

Unfortunately we do not sell a collar that will fit the Baldwin 8031.
