The Broan 355BR has a built in thermostat that will allow automatic operation at chosen temperature. It does not have a humidistat.

Keeping the house cooler!
We had a Broan vent fan put into our house when we had the house built 15 yrs ago. Not sure what happened to the fan whether the blown insulation got into the motor windings or what, but it stopped working before summer of 2010. We right away noticed that the house took longer to cool off with the air conditioner and the upstairs was always warmer. We installed this new fan and we are back to better living conditions upstairs and the air doesn't run as much. Great investment to keep the attic cooler. Venting Direct had great service and fast delivery!!!

Cooler now
This vent does a great job of keeping heat out of the attic. Runs quiet. The first one we received was bent and rattled. Venting Direct promptly sent another.

What is the warranty ?
Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.
Does the broan 355br come with the mess screen to keep out pests, and what does br stand for?
The Broan 355BR is equipped with a mesh screen that will keep out any pests. The BR is just part of the serial number which seperates this cap from other roof caps that are sold by Broan.
