What size room for smoke removal would this unit accomodate?

The Broan 505 should be used in a space no larger than 160 sq ft.

Can this be used in a bathroom, away from the shower, like over the toilet area? Also, does it have a plug to plug into an elctrical wall outlet that already exist in our 8" vent?

The Broan 505 can be used in your bathroom. It has to be hard-wired.

Can this be used over a shower to discharge steam and humidity?

The Broan 505 is not recommended to be used as a bathroom fan.
