A good deal Our original 676 fan was making quite a noise, so I looked into getting a new motor. At under $70 FOR THE WHOLE THING this was a no brainer. It's much quieter than the 10 year one we inherited. Broan should revamp their covers which are ugly. June 17, 2011

do you have 676 in a 8by9 and hoe quiet is this model

The Broan 676 is currently only available in the 8x8.25. This model is less quiet than other comparable larger fans, and older fans of similar style. However, at 4.0 sones there will be some venting noise due to the powerful air movement action. If application is preference, this is a great fan--especially for the price! However, if you are looking for a quiet fan, perhaps a less powerful fan with less sones would be your preference. For the venting power however, this is a great fan for the slight vibration sound tradeoff.

Can this fan be installed in a shower stall ceiling?

The Broan 676 is able to be mounted in a shower stall ceiling. This is rated to be in damp locations. Grille Length is 10.625" and Width is 11.125".
