Good Fan For The Money It's a little loud for 2.5 soans but but at least it doesn't rattle like our old one did. Overall we are happy with it. November 15, 2010

Good value This fan is a good value for typical bathroom venting applications. It has average sound levels and good venting power. If noise is not a concern, this is a great choice. If you desire a quiet, low sone fan, I would look at something else, below 1.0 sones. Installation is easy. November 26, 2007

Which Broan lights and fans are designed to be installed directly above shower area?

Any bath fans UL listed for wet locations will work for in the shower.

Need the cover grill for Broan 684 or equivalent size

The Broan 684 replacement grill is part number S97011308.

I only need the fan cover. Can I just purchase that or do I have to buy the fan too?

The Broan 684 grill part number is 97013576.

What are the dimensions?

The housing for the Broan 684 is 8" x 8 1/4"(on baffle side) x 5 3/4" tall. The grill, or trim, is 10 5/8" x 11 1/8" x 1 1/2" tall.

Can I just order fan and mounting plate for model 684 and will it fit in the old model H800 exhaust box?

The Broan 684 is an intermediate bathroom fan. Broan doesn't recognize the H800 and, therefore, can suggest if it would work or not.
