The Broan 744 is a recessed bathroom fan and light. The recessed light hides the visual presents of the bath fan. A 70 cfm rating will keep the moisture out of the average size and use shower and bathroom. The Broan 744 bath fan and light combo is a great multiple function fixture equipped to light and vent.

A. The Broan 744 is designed to work with a standard incandescent 75 watt maximum bulb, and should not be used with a heat bulb.

A. The Broan 744 is UL listed for use in damp locations. It will function properly as long as a Gfci Protected Branch Circuit With Par30L Or Par30Ln Type Bulbs are used.
Can the fan and light be switched independently?
A. Broan 744 can be wired so the fan and the vent are on separate switches.
Whats the max run of the exhaust line?
A. The Broan 744 doesn't really have a maximum run. With this unit and a 4 inch duct, once you get over 25 feet you will see a drop in performance. The longer you go and the more turns you take the worse it would be.
Is the housing IC rated (in contact with insulation)? I will be using iceneyne spay foam.
A. Yes, this is UL rated for use in insulated ceilings, also known at Type I.C.
Does this need to have a diffuser cover if installed in a shower?
