These products are named Heavy Duty for good reason. They're built tough to last in those punishing applications that are just too much for typical residential products. And a broad spectrum of AMCA and HVI certified performance ratings means there's an HD Series Fan or Fan/light that's just right for your next light-commercial or institutional application. Restaurants. Office buildings. Care facilities. Convenience stores. Bars. Gas Stations. Anywhere you need rugged, reliable performance.

Rugged Metal Fan Grille For Added Durability, Easier Cleaning
Grille Torsion Spring-Mounted For Easy Installation
Hello. Regarding the Broan HD80 bathroom exhaust fan, I note that it's referred to as being "heavy duty" and seems geared towards commercial use. Does this mean it is not recommended for residential use? I have a smallish bathroom, and this fan seems to be what I'm looking for, other than the "heavy duty" issue. Please advise & thanks!
A. The Broan HD80 is acceptable for residential use. If this product fits your needs, there should be no problem. The specification is actually really there for the sake of letting commercial purchasing know which products operate to the standards they need.
Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.
Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
