Overall good. Like the style and the powerful fan motor. Venting direct delivered on time and did go the extra mile to get me the color I wanted, and they price matched. The small negatives are the lights are kind of in an odd place, right up front and the "boost" is REALLY loud but that is rarely needed. The motor does the job on med. just fine. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommended it. June 13, 2011

Love this Fan! Moved to Florida and had to endure a non-venting microwave range hood which basically did nothing but recirculate the air. I checked all of the reviews versus price and this seemed like a good fit. Finally found someone to install it (they had to go through cement block wall - otherwise I think it would be very easy to DIY) and it's awesome! It's super quiet and very effective - no residual smell left after cooking. The lighting is very good. There is a delay button so you can leave the fan on for 10 minutes after you stop cooking and it turns off automatically. I found it for a little less at a store and ventingdirect matched the price. Very happy with this purchase and the service. April 23, 2011

Can you turn the lights on without turning on the fan or will the fan automatically turn itself on when it senses the heat from the lights?

The Broan QS330 has independent controls for both the fan and the lights.

What is the recommended mounting (min and max) height from the stovetop top?

The Broan QS330 should be 24"-30" above the stove top.

Hi, I am looking for an under cabinet unit, 30" self contained(no duct). What do you recommend?

The Broan QS330 is convertible to non-duct installation.

I like the features of this product, but not the holes on top of the hood since the dust could get inside the hood. How do you clean it? Is there a special purpose for having those opening?

The Broan QS330 has vents for the recirculating function of the hood. These vent will not affect the operation of your hood or present a problem with dust building up inside of the hood. When you duct the hood those vents are covered from the inside.

Can I do both recirculating and exhaust for this model?

The Broan QS330 can be vented out as an exhaust hood or can be used as a recirculating hood. For the recirculating option the CleanSense charcoal filters do have to be purchased separately.

What is the purpose of the holds on top of the hood?

The purposes of the holes on the Broan QS330 are so that you can mount it to the surface you are trying to put the Hood on. Thanks for your question, hope you have a good day!

Do I need to buy the BPSF30 charcoal non ducted filter for the QS330 if I am venting the exhaust outside?

No, the BPSF30 will come with a filter that is sufficient for venting outside.
