The Broan QT236 has Convertible Versatility. Installs As 3-1/4" X 10" (Vertical Or Horizontal), 7" Round (Vertical) Or Non-Ducted system. So yes it can be ductless and can vent out the top.

happy with puurchase
Nice looking hood. Easy to install. Some of the metal pop outs were a little hard to get out but with a little tin snips to help break the areas that wouldn't let go, it went fine.

Good website and good service
I have used this website and company twice before and have always had good service. This Broan stainless hood was good value for money and a huge upgrade over the painted white track-home-special that came with my house. I have also used Faucet Direct.com and they were good too. I liked the fact that they were in CA so I knew that if the parts were in stock I could get them quickly.

Functional and Stylish!
My husband and I have been working on our "kitchen re-do" project for quite some time-- painting cabinets, new tile, etc
and this new stainless-steel range hood was the icing on the cake. We didn't realize how BAD the previous range hood was until we installed this new one--and what a difference it makes every time we use the stove--WOW. The adjustable fan--(nice + quiet) and 2-light feature is great--and the cool stainless steel is a far cry from the previous "harvest gold" that was there for way too long.

Yes, the filters for the Broan QT236 range hood are dishwasher safe. Replacement aluminum filters are available as Broan 99010316.
Are these units UL 507 certified?
The Broan QT236 is UL listed and CSA certified.
Does this come with a filter?
The Broan QT236 does come with a filter. Additional filters can be bought as well.
