The Perfect Bathroom Fan We just finished one of our bathroom remodels and we put this fan in. You have to stand quietly and listen to even know if it is really on. It is so quiet! Works awesome and we added a timer to the switch so you can set it for 15, 30, or 60 minutes or just turn it off and on manually. We are going to purchase another one for our other bathroom. Can this fan be mounted in the wall?

The Broan QTXE110 needs airflow to cycle the bathroom air and so would not operate properly in a wall.

IS this a humidity sensing fan?

The Broan QTXE110 does not have a humidity sensor. The Broan QTXE110S has the humidity sensor.

Is this fan's motor shaft designed to operate horizontally as well as vertically?

The Broan QTXE is designed to be mounted horizontally.
