Fantastic Aesthetics... not so great for function My unit is Stainless and the aesthetic design and quality are fantastic. The vent stack is adjustable and sits seamlessly on top of the hood. The fan however is kind of joke. I ran a direct vent and am not using any recirculating filters. On lower, more quite settings...an eventual draft will be created and it works fine; patience is required however. The faster settings are so loud that I find it distracting. In short, looks fantastic and securing frame is quality. It works below average for moving actual cubic. May very well be the best you can get for the money however. April 6, 2011

Excellent value I needed a ductless hood for my low budget DIY kitchen overhaul. This model fit the bill. The installation was straightforward and result visually perfect. The 270 cfm blower isn't terribly strong, but it's more than adequate for most range cooking. The ductless system seems satisfactory as well. All in all, no complaints. In fact I'm very pleased. poor quality for the buck Ive just unpacked my RM503004 stainless hood fan The plastic cowling that supports the whole mechanism is cracked(not suprising).The termination of vent stack to hood has no finishing strip or seam cover, leaving a "raw" look. At $904.74 Home Depot pricing, this product is over priced and not of the quality one would expect from Broan. August 12, 2007
