280 CFM 30 Inch Wide Under Cabinet Range Hood with 3 Speed Controls and Halogen Lighting
Nice product for the price
We just received and installed this product. Overall, it's a very nice looking piece of equipment. One of the primary goals was to find an affordable hood that wasn't very thick. At 5", this one was about it until you're well over $300. It has clean lines and fits the space well without overwhelming it. The 2nd criteria was quiet and this fan is. It's about 4 sones on high and very quiet on low. The lights in the rear work well with our existing stove and look nice on the new back splash. The halogen color tone comes close to matching the LED under cabinet lights we're using. Install is easy, but you will have to remove the filters and the entire panel above them. 6 screws will free the panel - 4 on the perimeter and one on either side of the fan grill. Use care, all edges are sharp. Disassembly is not detailed in the manual. Negatives - the 3 1/2 x 10 vent flap is cheap and doesn't come anywhere close to closing off the duct. I had to tweak it some to get it to work even a little. There is plenty of air gap around the flap, so much that on low speeds it doesn't hardly move, or even need to. Use a quality vent to cap your ducting outside and keep air infiltration to a minimum. The manual covers 4 models and does not clarify what options belong to what models, so reading the manual may give you a false sense of features. The UC200 has three speeds, no delayed fan off, no filter clean reminder and one light level. Range Hood Operations details two control panels without saying what models get what. If the unit did not work as well or fit the space as nice, it might have gone back in the box because of that issue. Overall, it does what we need, looks good, no fancy stuff and that's good enough.

I am so happy with my new range hood. It is sleek looking and is very quiet even on the highest cycle. It does a great job of venting cooking odors out of the kitchen. The work lights are great. I was not used to lights at the back but find they do not throw off as much glare as my old hood did.

Thin, Well-made, Little Noisy, Used LED Lights
Quality range hood is shortest (5") available, replaces old 6" model. Full surface filters are nice and washable. A little noisy at higher speeds. I found ecological satisfaction by replacing the 25 W halogen spots with nice 6 W LEDs which give more and whiter light. Looks good! Controls are right where they should be and operate with satisfying precise feel.

Not dimensionally accurate
Its width measurement was supposed to be 30” The actual measurement was 29 1/2". Now I have a 1/4" gap on either side of the range hood. My wife said it looked good enough, now i have to live with it and see that gap every day. Totally disappointed!

Does what it says on the box
Comprehensive fitting instructions are provided with this product and installation was relatively easy, although pre-cut vent opening was difficult to remove.
Hood works well although it is slightly noisier than expected.
