how do you remove the light cover to replace the light bulbs?

beautiful addition to room
I had to have help installing, because I am not an electrician, but my friend (who is also not an electrician) installed it over lunch and it took 1.5 hours. It looks beautiful! I love it! It really updates the look of my room!

Excellent Fan for the money
Fan is very well made, solid. The globe is glass, not plastic as others have commented. At least, mine is glass. Quiet, smooth operation and balanced without having to weight any of the blades.

Good fan
We chose this fan because it has color and style we like, including an enclosed simple light, and it has NO remote control. We prefer a wall switch. The fan was easy enough to install and it works well with a Lutron Skylark wall switch (variable fan speed and light dimmer combination). The fan is quiet and is well balanced.

Great Ceiling Fan
I purchased this fan to replace an ugly, worn out fan. I found one my wife and I both agreed upon at Lighting Direct.com. The price was comparable to local department stores, the on-line purchase was a breeze and it was delivered when promised. Once installed, it looks and works great!

Well worth the money
Ordered the oil bronze finish. Color was just what I wanted. Easy installation (bulbs were included). Fan is quiet, and looks great in the room. Also, LightingDirect had the lowest price of online retailers (that I trust to conduct business with) at the time.

Overall...Very Pleased
Easy transaction and good communication. Fan arrived quickly. Installation was simple except for the light kit. There are too many wires crammed into the small housing and was extremely difficult to secure the light fixture. The fan stopped working after 30 minutes. I cut off the power to the fan double checked all (my) wire connections, then reversed the motor and the fan attempted to turn. I repeated the process and the fan operated normally, forward and reverse, and has operated correctly ever since. I don't know what could have caused the problem initially.

Is the color of the cherry blades more red than brown?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack blades are a redish brown color, with red being the primary color.
Will the "Craftmade TCS-WALL Wall Control for Craftmade Fans" work with this fan?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack can work with the TCS-WALL control.
Will this fan work on a slanted ceiling, ie, does it have a swivel mount? Can I purchase a 36" downrod?
To make the Craftmade Civic Unipack swivel you would need a Craftmade 45AD. This will make it so that you can swivel 45 degrees. The 36" craftmade downrod is Craftmade DR36.
Can you flush mount this ceiling fan?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack unfortunately cannot be flush mounted.
I want to change out the blades to 52'"black ones which ones do I need to order
The blades that will work for that fan are the Craftmade B552S 52" Standard Blades.
Is there a stronger light kit available for this fan?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack is only compatible with the light kit that comes with it. However, it is removable.
Will a 72" downrod work with the Civic Unipak 5 blade 52" fan?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack can be used with a 72" down rod. That is part number DR72.
Are the fan blades natural wood finish or laminate?
These blades are made out of Wood
Can this fan operate from a wall mount controller? Which one? Can the handheld also be combined?
The Craftmade Civic Unipack operates on a universal remote system called the UC-2000-4. You can also order the wall mount version of this remote, but you will have to order the receiver as well, item # UC-2000-3.
Does the angled ceiling adapter come in oiled bronze? I cannot find that finish on the web site.
The Craftmade Civic Unipack is available in Oiled Bronze, you simply need to select 'Oiled Bronze' in the finish options.
