high quality and value
I had recently installed a Grohe equivalent in a master bathroom. I choose the Parma for the guest bath for a fraction of the price. It may not be european but just as solid in weight and design.

better in person
really happy with this quality product. We ordered the polished chrome finish and it looked and felt very high end for reasonable price. You could not get anything like this at home depot or lowes (and believe me i looked!). Shipping time was also really swift. Nice job!

Problems with Danze Parma Tub and Shower
- I bought two of the Danze Parma Tub and Shower valve in mid-2009. By mid-2010, one of them became hard to turn, and squeaked very badly. I called Danze, and they sent me a replacement cartridge.
- Now, in mid-2011, I am having the same problem with the same valve. I'll have to replace the cartridge again soon. I called Danze, and they sent me out two more cartridges.
- I have two of these valves--the other valve is the same model but used in a different, lesser used tub. In this one, the part of the valve that diverts from the tub filler to the shower stopped working--water would dribble out both the shower and the tub filler at the same time no matter what position the diverter valve was in. I called Danze, and they sent me another diverter valve. It was the wrong one. They sent me out the right one after I e-mailed them about it, but the nut that secures it to the valve didn't turn. After some muscling to get the nut free, I found a gasket had been pinched and this is what was causing the nut to be difficult to turn. I managed to get the gasket seated correctly, but the gasket is still damaged and I'm not sure how long it will last.
Needless to say, I will never buy another Danze product again. Sure, they are great at sending replacement parts, but that doesn't matter because I've had to spend so much time replacing parts! A valve should not require this much maintenance. If they ever stop making replacement parts for this valve, I'm going to have to break into my beautiful slate shower wall to replace it. And I can guarantee you it won't be with a Danze product.

Well made, high end look for less
We purchased this tub and shower faucet for our master bath remodel. Since we were on a fairly tight budget, this Danze unit fit the bill without sacrificing quality or style.

I am replacing my old shower tub and shower Faucet with D500058T, I assume I have an old valve already, Do I have to replace valve too if I want to replace it with D500058T?
The Danze D500058 will need the rough in valve D113000BT to go with it
I would be buying this for a new tub installation. Can you direct me to the appropriate drain and overflow caps (and anything else I might need)?
Hello, the Danze D500058 includes the valve so you're good on this set up. If you find the tub you want in terms of size we can then select the correct tub waste for you. The tub was usually comes with the overflow cap. You'll have to find a tub that will fit your new construction installation. When you select a tub it usually offers a selection of tub wastes. If it does not we would be happy to make a recommendation.
If I want to use this with the D465005 hand held shower do I need any additonal parts?
The Danze D560858 or a diverter of some sort is going to be needed. As well as a supply elbow like the D469058.
Can I convert this shower head to a handheld and if so what parts would I need to purchase.
No, you cannot convert this to a handshower.

Yes, the Danze D500058 tub and shower trim does come with the tub spout.

The Danze D500058 specifically comes with the valve and all hardware needed for installation. If the tub is a new installation we may need the drain and overflow cap.
Dose the valve come with it have screw driver stops?
This item does include the valve with the screwdriver stops.
What is the difference between this model and the D500058T which is less expensive in the same finish?
The Danze D500058 Single Handle Pressure Balanced Tub and Shower Trim with Showerhead includes the necessary rough-in valve while the D500058T would require an additional purchase. Also, the D500058 is available in an Oil-Rubbed Bronze finish which is a little more expensive. This accounts for the greater spread of prices on this model.
What is the screen for and how do I order it?
I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to when you mention the "screen". Please advise where you are seeing a screen.
when do you need to use an extension kit?
Thank you for your inquiry. Typically you use an extension kit if the shower rough in valve is set too far back in the wall.
Does the pressure balance system offer volume adjustment?
This system will be a temperature control and on/off functionality only. You will have some adjustment with the showerhead with different spray patterns.

The Danze D500058 does come with an integral lock.
If I want to install the D500058 in addition to the D465005 hand held shower, what additional components to I need in order to run one shower at a time or both showers together.
You will want to use the Danze D481350 Shower Arm Diverter in conjunction with your Danze D500058 and D465005 Handshower.
What extension do I use? The value is about 1/2 inch back from tile.
The Extension kit for the shower faucet is D492536.

We do not carry the replacement cartridge for this however you may be able to get it directly from Danze.

The Danze D500058 does have the replacememt cartridge available which is part # A507712. We unfortunately do not carry this cartridge, you may have to order it directly from Danze.
