can you put it on top of a pedestal base?

The DecoLav 1216 isn't designed to go on top of a pedestal base, it's more designed to work with a vanity.

will the 9290 umbrella drain assbly fir this sink? is the 9290 a stopper

The DecoLav 1216 can be used with the 9290 and no, it is a non closing unit.

Is this compatible with any regular 1 hole?

The DecoLav 1216 will work with a 1 1/4" drain hole.

Does this sink require the ring that glass vessels sit on? Can any vessel faucet and pop up be used with this sink?

All the mounting hardware for the DecoLav 1216 will be included with the required drain. You can use the DecoLav 9297 or the DecoLav 9295.

Is there a stopper with this sink or does it come with the faucet?

The DecoLav 1216 does not come with a pop up drain, this would come with the faucet.

Is this sink compatible with vanity DecoLav 5360 ?

The DecoLav 1216 will work with the DecoLav 5360 vanity.

What is the difference between 18/10 and 18/8 stainless vessel sinks. The 18/10 is by Decolav and the 18/8 is Elkay

These numbers refer to the chromium/nickel content of the stainless steel Chromium in both being 18% with Nickel 8% vs 10%. There is no difference in quality.

Is the finish on the brushed sink brushed on the inside and the outside or is one surface polished?

The DecoLav 1216 in the brushed finish is "brushed" on the inside and the outside.

What grid drain do I need for this?

The Decolav 1216 is compatible with the Decolav 9295.
