Does this drain close, and allow the sink to be filled with water? If not, can you recommend a similar drain that does? (I've never installed one, so pardon my ignorance.) Thanks.
A. The DecoLav 9295 is a grid drain and will not allow you to fill the sink with water. You would need a clicker style drain for what you want like 9297. If your sink is without overflow then you would need 9298
Will this work on a porcelain vessel bowl that is 1 5/8 hole opening?
A. Yes, the width on this drain (the piping that makes up the body of it) is 1-1/4", which will allow it to fit inside of the 1-5/8" opening your sink has. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that vessel sinks are often times rather particular as to what kinds of drains will fit within the bottom of the rounded bowl. It is always the best idea to buy the drain recommended by the manufacturer of your vessel sink.
Can this drain 9295 work with the Kraus KCV-120?
A. Yes, the DecoLav 9295 drain will work with the Kraus KCV-120 vessel faucet.
Is this part needed if the sink faucet comes with a pop up?
A. The DecoLav 9295 is not needed if the faucet already has a pop up drain included. If your sink does not have an overflow you will want to get a drain that does not close. If the sink has an overflow a pop up drain will work. The overflow is the hole in the sink that prevents the water from over flowing.
Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.
To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.
Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
