Research Paid Off

great faucet
this is an awsome faucet, but maybe a little too awesome! have to keep the water off full blast as it streams soooo good it splashes a bit!!! otherwise i love it!

Suggested changes
Water stream is too strong, splashing water all over the counter. The aerator needs to soften the force of the stream of water more. The faucet extends beyond drain, thus creating more splatter every time we turn it on since it is hitting the sink instead of drain. But, I like the longer arm for filling large bowls and pales. I think the problem could be helped by changing aerator to increase the aeration.

Very happy with faucet
I've had the faucet for 1-2 months. I installed it per the directions. Faucet worked first time and every time, without leaks. Aerator is a must to prevent splashing. Due to the height of the spout, even with the aerator in place, there is some splashing when water is turned on fully. I have a 9 inch deep sink, and none of the water splashes over the sink edge onto the counter. If I had a shallower sink I think it would splash a little on the counter. Overall, an excellent product.

Very Pleased with Product
Overall I am very pleased with the Delta faucet that I ordered. Unfortunately, I was so pleased with the brushed stainless model when it arrived that I quickly checked that all the parts were included and installed it. As I was placing the hose for the sprayer I discovered that the base to the unit was shiny chrome. I called for assistance and was told that I had to send the entire unit back to make an exchange to get a brushed stainless base. Too late! However I was given the number for Delta who did send a replacement in the proper finish at no cost - took 10 days, but I did get it. Everything works great and looks great now.

Marginal product
The fauchet and handle work well and were simple to install. The spayer is a joke, it has little presure because most of the water is still frowing out of the faucet.

CAN ADD ON WATER FILTERS SUCH AS PUR BE ADDED TO THE FAUCET BY REMOVING THE AERATOR?
Yes, You can remove the aerator with the wrench that was supplied and add a water filter as long as the water filter has the same threading size.
Can I swap a soap dispenser for the sprayer?
Yes, if you currently are using one of the holes you'd need for this install you can pull the soap dispenser out of the hole & install the rough-in so that the sprayer utilizes that hole. Hope this helps!
Does the tap come with everything needed to fit it?
The Delta 4380-DST doesn't come with the air cap, disposal stopper and basket strainer and flange.
Does this faucet include the drain assembly?
The Delta 4380-DST does not include the drain assembly. Delta Kitchen Faucets do not typically include any drain assembly components - however, their Lavatory Faucets will often includes these items for your Bathroom Sink.
How long is sprayer hose?
The hose for the Delta 4380-DST is 45" long.

The Delta 4380-DST has a replacement aerator listed as replacement part RP50783 - this item has been replaced by a Low Flow aerator Delta part number RP53998 which is now available on our site.
Is everything metal?
The Delta 4380-DST handle and spout are made of metal and it's sprayer is made of plastic.
Is it possible to get a metal sprayer?
Yes it is possible to purchase the sprayer separately. I called Delta to get the part numbers. These are the part numbers they gave me: RP53880 which is the spray and hose assembly and you will also need the Rp50787 which is the support assembly to support the spray and hose which allows it to stand up.
Is the sprayer Steel or plastic?
The Delta 4380-DST Sprayer is composite construction of both Brass and Plastic components.
what is the reach in inches out from the back of the sink
The Delta 4380-DST has a spout reach of 10.5" from the center of the faucet to the center of the aerator.
Can you install Delta 4380-DST without the side sprayer or buy one without the sprayer?
You can install this faucet with out the side spray. Per the Installation instruction you have the option of not installing the side spray. Other models from the Pilar collection are also available such as the 980-dst which has a pull down sprayer instead of the side spray.

The Delta 4380-DST will accommodate between 6 and 16 inches.

The Delta 4380-DST does not have the option to change spray type.

That question is more dependent on the measurements of the sink, how wide is it total and where would you mount the faucet?

The Delta 4380-DST is a "thick deck" model yes.
What is the thread size of the aerator?
The Delta 4380-DST aerator is a 2.2 gpm. It's a cache aerator where it seats inside the spout. We, unfortunately, don't have the thread size.
Can the side spray be alternatively changed to a regular water flow?
The Delta 4380-DST side spray only has one function which is the spray mode. It cannot be changed to a regular water flow. Thanks for your question and have a great day!

The Delta 4380-DST Single Handle Kitchen Faucet can be installed normally on a counter thickness of 2 1/2". Anything thicker then this will require an extension kit.
How do you remove the aerator to clean or replace?
The aerator for the Delta 4380-DST is removed with the wrench supplied with the purchase of the faucet. If you do not have the wrench, it is RP46245.
I have this model with the soap dispenor in an order model made in white (1998). Need new handle.
The Delta RP53877 is the replacement part number.
