is there a difference between chrome and polished chrome?

The Delta 73850 is Chrome is the same as polished chrome.

Is the Venetian Bronze almost black?

The Delta Venetian Bronze is going to be very close to black, but is actually a dark brown. I would suggest looking at the Gatco GC4900 available in matte black.

is this a spring or pivot?

The Delta 73850 is a spring paper holder.

The photo looks like satin with polished ends. Is the entire holder polished chrome?
