We're happy with our choice. There's really nothing like a double handled faucet for fine tuning water temperature, but we decided on this single handled model for the sake of practicality. I was dubious about the sprayer headed faucet, but it has been wonderful. It clicks right back into place every time. If I had a complaint, it's that the sprayer button sometimes finds itself a mid-point, where it is both a stream and a spray, but that's not a big or serious problem. The pump only dispenses a small amount of soap with each pump, making the soap itself go further. We think it's an attractive accessory and love that it is arched enough to get tall vases and bottles under it. All in all we're very pleased with this faucet. July 4, 2011

Worth every Cent ! This faucet looks and works great ! But if I had it to do over I would replace the sink with a new heavier guage metal as the faucet is rather heavy. May 6, 2011

Best Kitchen Faucet This is the best kitchen faucet we have seen. We had the old style pull-out faucet with the whole handle coming out of the neck. It worked and was nice for awhile, but it was bulky and heavy. This one has a small head with spray/straight switch which is easy to use and the head is light and magnetized for quick return to the neck. We couldn't be more happy with it. April 18, 2011

My favorite upgrade! This is the most amazing faucet I have ever used! I like it better than my new counter tops !! Now I am moving and have purchased another one for my new home - can't imagine not having it! It is so easy to clean things without splashing with the hose and it pops back into place with the strong magnet easily -- I have been using it for more than a year now and it still works and looks great! shiney, new, updated look My husband installed faucet himself. The only difficult part is getting under the sink. The magnet which holds the retractable head is strong without being too strong. My only issue (and it is small) is that because of the curve of the faucet head, it is a little difficult to pull head off and then out to fill a pan that is on the counter and not in the sink. I may just may be treating this faucet a little too delicately. The range of this faucet is good without needing to pull the head out too far though. The toggle between spray and regular is very good. Easy to use. The soap dispenser is easy to fill from the top and is a nice convenience. The handle that turns the water on is very nice and is easy to use. Able to turn faucet on with gooey hands without actually using fingers. Great feature if working with raw meats. I highly recommend this faucet. Especially for the price. The materials used look as good as any other faucet I have seen. My kitchen is filled with high end appliances and this faucet fits right in. All in all, I am happy with this purchase and with Faucet Direct. Delivery was quite fast and you can't beat the price. November 19, 2010

Great Design and Function I ordered these a few weeks ago, but my granite guys were so far behind, we just got it installed. It looks great and works perfectly. I decided on the Delta in Chrome because I like the bling the Chrome gives and I thought the magnet in the spray head was a must. I had it professionally installed, so no comments there. Fetching SPLASH to my new kitchen!! I love, love my new faucet!! It was the final touch that is also the workhorse in my kitchen! Let's face it - the sink is where we all end up - even the non-cooks and the kids! Is an escuchon type plate available for this? If so, how much? We've an existing 3-hole stainless sink in good shape and want a new faucet that replaces our old 2-handle, no sprayer one - that has a plate.

A. This faucet set does not come with an escucheon. You need three holes for this set, one for the soap dispenser, one for the handle and one for the faucet. A similar Kitchen Faucet that comes with an optional escutcheon would be the Delta 989-SD-DST.

if you have 6" rather than 8" holes will this fit?

A. The Delta 978-SD-DST spray button will not lock in the spray position. When the faucet is turned off it will return to the neutral position.

What does Diamond Seal Technology means? What is the material made of the spray wand??

A. The Delta 978-SD-DST diamond seal technology refers to the cartridge in the faucet and how tight it seals to ensure the faucet doesn't leak. The material the spray wand is made out of is brass, the same as the rest of the faucet.

Is this faucet good for a double sink? I have a double sink with the faucet set in the top center and want to make sure it will reach to the center of the sink without being pulled out.
