MagnaTite Docking: Delta's patented MagnaTite Docking Technology uses a powerful integrated magnet to securely hold your Delta kitchen faucet's pull-down spray in place when not in use. A light tug releases the wand for total flexibility and a full range of motion. When docking the wand after use, the MagnaTite Docking mechanism will guide the spray securely back into place.
Diamond Seal: Delta DIAMOND Seal Technology utilizes a ceramic disc valve with a real diamond coating to produce a faucet that will last up to 5 million uses. That's an amazing 10 times the industry standard, guaranteeing a lifetime of leak-free, trouble-free performance.
Eco Friendly: Through a number of technologies and innovations, Delta’s Eco Friendly faucets achieve the impossible: A faucet that feels like more water, while actually conserving water. There are many advantages to this beyond helping protect our nation’s water resources. First, Delta’s Eco Friendly faucets splash less; you won’t have to wipe your counters as much. Second, they use less hot water, preserving your hot water supply and reducing associated water-heating costs. Third, you will feel a little less guilty leaving the water running for longer periods.
Touch Clean: Only Delta offers faucets equipped with Touch Clean soft, rubber nubbins (spray holes) that allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up with the touch of a finger. This is particularly helpful for areas with hard water.

A solid faucet...if you don't mind finger marksI recently bought this faucet to replace a Price Pfister stainless steel one in our kitchen. I was interested in the magnetic lock on the faucet head, which was a primary decision factor for me.
The installation of the faucet was quite simple, although it would have been nice if it was clear that you will probably need the optional spacer ($10). I had to order this separately and reinstall the faucet a few days later as without the spacer I couldn't get the assembly to tighten properly.
The faucet operates well. The detachable head is nice, but our sink plumbing is a little cluttered underneath, so the hose and provided weight tend to drop onto pipes and as a result it is noisy and the head doesn't retract properly without some manual assistance.
The biggest disappointment is the finish on the faucet. Finger marks show up very clearly on it and it takes quite a bit of work to clean them off.
Overall we're happy with the selection, but there are a few things we would change if given the opportunity in the future.

My Brand New Faucet LeaksMy brand new Delta 989-SS-DST faucet (Allora Collection) leaks. When the faucet is on "spray", it works fine and does not leak. However, when the faucet is on "stream", it streams, but also dribbles out the back. And when I turn it off from "streaming" it drips.
I called Delta to ask them to fix the problem for me, and they said they would send me a part (which they did) and walk me through the process of repairing the problem. I am not at all handy and requested that they send their technician back to fix the problem (I paid their technician for the installation the first time and don't think I should have to pay again for Delta's defective product).
I am very disappointed in Delta and will not use their products anymore.

Not HappyWe've had this faucet for almost 3 years, I don't consider that very old. Lately we noticed a loss in water pressure. After I took apart the entire faucet, I noticed black rubber building up in the faucet head screen (where you unscrew the faucet head from the hose you can see the white filter, here is where the black rubber where building up) I assume it coming from the interior hose line. I am replacing the hose assembly next to see if that solves the problem, as this is the only place I can imagine black rubber coming from. But why after only 3 years of use would the interior of the hose be coming apart????

Love this faucetI replaced a one year old Moen pullout from Big Box store and I'm still thrilled with my decision for the following reasons.
1. Quality of construction and ease of installation. If you search, you can see video displays of how to install, plus the thorough written instructions are excellent. I was thrilled to see metal nuts rather than plastic.
2. Function, function, function. the high arch allows me to see what I'm doing, and easily wash large objects without constantly moving the faucet out of the way. The magnetic head is great and easy to use. Because of the high arch, I don't have to use the removable head as often as I did the Moen.
3. A thing of beauty. I spent the extra money and got the the brushed stainless and don't regret the expense. The look gives the kitchen a fresh updated look...something I didn't expect. Form and Function...who knew!!!
It appears that Delta responds well to problems - something that's important. Although none of us likes to have problems with an item, a responsive company is far superior to one that doesn't respond. I'm redoing a bath and will most likely look at for Delta fixtures. I used to be a "Moen" girl, but I think the quality of construction has deteriorated.

Happy with our selectionNice faucet, installed it ourself (no problems), Work great and also looks good. Recently put in new counter tops, the owner of the store recommended 1) only drill one hole in your Quartz (can't fill the holes once drilled) 2) this particular faucet. I think he gave us great advice. The only thing is, we're trying to get use to turning off the water by pushing a lever up.

Love the magnetic Head. The magnetic head does a great job of latching the head to the base. The flow rate is good and the toggle between spray and single flow is very convenient.
I had a separate spray nozzle with my old faucet and I like the integrated unit much better. I did not order the soap dispenser because I like being able to spray soap where I want it. It is easier to pick up a bottle of liquid soap and spray it on the pans rather than having to move the big pans to the soap sprayer mounted on the counter top.

Best kitchen faucet everIt was my contractor who chose this for my house on a property with 5 housekeeping cabins I was rehabbing. About a year later I went into another unit we spent tons to upgrade, and its faucet was horrible in comparison. This is when I realized how many features I'd become accustomed to - the magnetic spray-head retraction and snap-to aspect; the fact that if you choose spray over stream it would stay on spray the next time you used it; the fact that if it was pulled out and limply swinging, it would not automatically spray the backsplash, but rather would just face straight down into the sink drain or disposal; it has the most sensitive temperature angles from the single handle... it is easy to clean, it never shoots sideways... I finally had to go on eBay and find four others for the other units - replacing the lame ones we had (some not so cheap or limited, either) because this faucet is the best kitchen faucet I've ever seen - and I've seen 20+ in my building career. Will never buy another, nor will i ever let a friend or client. SO worth the price!

Am trying to decide between the Allora 989-DST and the Delta 19922-SD-DST. I was ready to order the Allora based on the number of glowing reviews, but the Ashton has several features including the spout height that we would like. There are few differences in the specs. Why is the Allora priced at $100 more? Is it build quality? I would prefer the Ashton if I was assured that the quality was the same. Thanks
A. Other than the technical specs being different the Delta 989-DST & the Delta 19922-SD-DST are really similar, will function the same, & will be of the same quality. In Delta's view the Allora is more attractive & streamlined as far as design goes & the price for it is increased as a result. Hope this helps!
