Delta Electronics VFB25ACH Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan, Less than 0.3 Sone

Extra Savings on Installation - NO Special Switch or Wiring Needed!

  • Highly efficient DC Motor, noise level less than 0.3 Sone
  • Cycle switch ON/OFF for humidity sensor mode and full speed mode
  • Annual energy cost for 24/7 operation is approximately $7.62
  • Self adjusting motor to humidity levels
  • Blue and amber LED indicator lights to show humidity sensor mode and full speed mode

Innovative design for long life, low noise and low power consumption, the Delta Breez humidity sensor exhaust fan model VFB25ACH delivers air flow rate of 80 CFM at <0.3 Sone.  Power consumption is only 8 Watts with an efficiency rating of 10 CFM/Watt. The life expectancy for this fan is 70,000 hrs, which is about 8 years running continuously. This quiet energy efficient bathroom fan combines several design innovations, including a switching power supply that converts AC 110~220V power source to DC power to drive a DC brushless motor. This design provides a quieter solution with energy savings up to 65% compared to traditional AC motor products.  Users can cycle switch on/off for humidity sensor mode and full speed mode. This product has a default humidity threshold setting of 50% humidity environment. In humidity sensor mode, fan will kick in when the humidity level reaches 50% and above, and will turn off automatically after the humidity level comes back down to lower than 50%. The motor will adjust the speed according to humidity levels. When humidity level is high, the fan will spin faster to quickly exhaust the moisture. When humidity level is low (but still higher than 50%), the fan will run at a lower speed, which allows you to continue to vent for better indoor air quality. This product also incorporates a dual color (blue and amber) LED indicator to show if it is running at humidity sensor mode or full speed mode.

Because of the effects it has on health, comfort, and serviceability, indoor air quality in our homes is becoming an increasing concern to many people. The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recommended a mechanical exhaust system to be installed in your home to provide whole building air ventilation (ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2007) in order to improve indoor air quality. This Delta Breez VFB25ACH humidity sensor exhaust fan is an excellent product to achieve this goal with its superior features of ultra low power consumption, and almost silent operation. Cycle switch on/off in between humidity sensor mode and full speed mode for continuous or smart operation. The energy cost for operating this fan 24/7 for an entire year is less than approximately $7.62.

Power rating of 110~220volts/50~60Hz; DC Brushless motor equipped with thermal cutoff fuse; Galvanized steel body housing; Detachable 4" diameter duct adapter; Built in back draft damper; Easy installation; Housing dimensions (LxWxD) = 9.68" x 9.68" x 7.98"; Grille dimensions = 12.36" x 12.36"; Attractive grille design using ABS material; Grille attaches directly to housing with torsion springs; UL and cUL listed for tub/shower enclosure when used with GFCI branch circuit wiring; DC motor technology provides built in soft start function to reduce motor start noise and automatically powers OFF when impeller is locked abnormally; 3 year limited warranty.

Breez 80 CFM Humidity Sensor Exhaust Fan, Less than 0.3 Sone 4.2 5 11 13
Lousy fan Be forewarned this fan will stay on ALL THE TIME in the bay area because your humidity level will always be above 50%. Talk about a waste of energy and then it burns out in 8 years so how is this a GREEN product? You'll have to pitch it in the landfill and buy a new one! We have used it on the 'humidity sensor' mode with the blue light and it does not kick up to a higher speed - even when my bathroom registered above 88% humidity it still ran at its lousy low speed. So basically you are paying more for a fan that will run all the time, you'll have to replace it in 8 years; or you'll just have to run it on manual high mode. Save yourself the money and just buy a fan that is either off or on. We are much happier with the Panasonic Whisper fan - plain and simple operations. August 30, 2011
Excellent product Our company builds all Energy Star and NAHB Green rated homes and the Delta Breeze line of products fit very well into the interior air quality pockage that we use for our customers. The products perform as stated by the manufacturer even during our blower door testing on each home we build. August 20, 2011
Love it Love this fan. It is very quiet, you hardly know it is on. I installed it in our laundry room to help keep out moisture. It works great. August 8, 2011
Very Good Fan This fan is advertised as quiet and IT IS. The humidity sensor is a little off and should be adjustable. You really need to shut it off manually just like any other fan. I still rate it as a 4 star because it is very quiet, well built, and energy efficient. I'm not a home improvement professional, but I've done a lot of it and am an engineer. I created my own basement ventilator for 1/10 the cost of some of the other junk on the market advertised under the "clean air quality" mantra. I added a timer to my circuit to override the non-adjustable humidity sensor. If I had paid MSRP I'd be upset with the humidity sensor, but for the price paid, it's a fine product. July 14, 2011
Great price for such a great product! I wanted a bathroom fan that wasn't loud so I'd actually use it. This is perfect! it is so quiet, and yet very effective. You switch it on and it's on auto mode, then you switch it off/on again and it's on manual/high mode. the price beats all its competitors hands down. every home improvement store should carry this brand! April 23, 2011
Fan is quiet I bought this fan because of the low noise and the humidity function. The humidity switch does not work as soon as I turn the fan on it switches to low speed (blue) not the green light that shows a monitoring state. I have a good Honeywell thermometer with humidity sensor; with cast iron adiator heat during the winter I am constantly below 30% humidity yet the fan turns on low. It is quiet but I would look for something else. January 28, 2011
Nearly Silent This product is as advertised. It has two speeds, and is nearly silent on the slow speed, and I mean that. They advertise quiet and it is. Just what I wanted. Move some air, and no (or nearly imperceptable) noise. November 27, 2010
Silent...really You cannot hear this vent when on. Useful is the automatic mode. The looks is ok, I guess there is not much room for design when it comes to vents. November 20, 2010
Fantastic fan... This fan really runs well...the manuals sent with the fan are OK, but there are others online that are a little bit better so do a search. In spite of the docs being a little 3rd grade, the fan is tremendous. It's more than quiet, moves the air, works well on auto and has made my house much more pleasant. November 13, 2010
sensor does not turn off fan! Just installed this fan. It's very quiet, but the factory set humidity level of 40% is too low. My normal house humidity is 50-60%. I live in VA and the fan never turns off because it doesn't reach humidity set point. If you live in AZ it might be ok. I talked to Delta factory rep and they acknowledged that humidity cut off control was too sensitive. Cannot adjust humidity control so I'm just using it as regular fan. I'm going to try and return if Venting Direct will agree. October 25, 2010

Like many retailers, Build.com can choose to set its own prices independently. And even though manufacturers require Build.com and other retailers to display a product's "minimum advertised price" (or MAP), the retailer can choose to sell for less than that. But the price must be conveyed in other ways, and each individual manufacturer's MAP policy determines where the price can be seen.

To see the price for this product at Build.com, you'll need to place it in your shopping cart, and maybe even proceed to final checkout. If you're not ready to buy the product, simply remove it from the cart.

Build.com apologizes for any inconvenience. We'd just like to offer you the chance to save extra money while we adhere to manufacturers' MAP policies. Build.com is also working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact customers and their buying behavior.
