Flush Bolt Deltana 7FBR Really good quality, solid brass contstruction. Not that cheap brass coated junk that will rust. Installed with ease, and replaced my cheap rusted one with no modifications to the door required! Great product. November 12, 2010

Difficult part found Searched several stores for part. Sales clerk even suggested "gerry-rigging" their universal part! One small business owner suggested your site. The part fit like a glove, no gerry-rigging" required! June 20, 2010

The pin that extends into the door snapped off after a year. This pin was made out of zinc which is a very poor choice for shear pin. I see others had the same problem with the brass version. The design is not strong enough for the application. Repeated shutting of the mating door puts too much stress into the pin. The sleeve the pin slides through has too much clearance allowing the pin to rattle. May 11, 2010

Deltana Flush bolt The pin that extends into the door sill snapped off after 2 months. Received a replacement and 4 months later it snapped off as well. Do not buy the brass version of this flush bolt. Deltana has one made of zinc which should be stronger. We'll see in a few months if this is true. April 26, 2010

How long is the throw bolt? I need a flush bolt that has a throw bolt longer then 1"

Is there something on this bolt that keeps the pin up when used vertidcally at the top of a door?

Yes the bolt has a locking mechanism that holds it in place when being used as a vertical bolt. It won't slide down on it's own.
