Great price and quality for the $$ Purchased these to replace the more expensive ones I received from Lighting Direct many years ago. Swapped them out before selling the house. Wall Sconces for Hallway I have not installed my wall sconces yet as they are for a new house I'm building. I found two of them locally that the retailer was closing out. Besides the price, I liked the idea that you can paint them to match your wall. I also plan to install mine with the widest part down so the dust doesn't collect inside the area with the bulb. The Designers Fountain 6031-WH is for direct wire only.

Does the light shine from the top only or from both the top and bottom?

Thank you for your question! The Designers Fountain 6031-WH is designed for an up lighting direction, so you will not get much light shining out of the bottom of the fixture. Hope this helps!

Do you guys have anything to make this light switch on and off?

The Designers Fountain 6031-WH is a hard wired fixture. You electrician can wire it to a switch on your wall to be able to turn it on and off.
