Can this be installed as an up light?

The Designers Fountain 94004 can be installed as an up light.

will this product fit in my space. I have 12" from celing to mirror?

Yes, The Designers Fountain 94004 will work because it is only 8.5" in height. There for your should have about 3.5" of clearance.

Is the Satin (Platinum) finish more like a brushed or polished finish ?

The Designers Fountain 94004 in satin platinum is more of a brushed finish but it does not have brush marks. Manufacturers will call this satin, it will not be shiny like a polished finish is.

what is the dimension of the back plate

The Designers Fountain 94004 back plate is 8" in width and 4 5/8" in height.
