No bulbs! Nice looking light but I don't want to have to also pick up bulbs - plus they're expensive. Plan on adding another $15 for bulbs! Booo! November 15, 2010

Motion Detector and Spotlight We bought this Designers Fountain light for two reasons: as a typical motion detector and also as a spotlight when grilling. Through the inside switch, we can set it to be always on (so no need to create motion every few minutes while grilling). Afterwards, we use the inside switch to reset the light to the motion detector mode. With the bulbs encased, the fixture looks like the more expensive ones. We bought another one for the driveway. A. The Designers Fountain P218C has 3 settings for how long the motion sensor stays on. You can choose from 1 minute, 5 minute, or 10 minute timer for the light to stay on.

I lost my manual and the light won't shut off, why?

A. If you wired the Designers Fountain P218C to operate with a wall switch and bypassed the motion detector, this could result in the light being on at all times. The other issue is if there is a lot of motion in your yard, the light would constantly sense this motion and be on continuously.

A. The Designers Fountain 2371-AM-ORB has a backplate that measures 4-3/8" wide x 6-1/4" high. It will work for your application.

Can this light be hung upside down on the underside of a roof eave?

A. The Designers Fountain P218C can be installed upside down and under a roof eave. Not sure how well the motion sensor will work there since the sensor will be covered more.
