Beautiful shower door
I love the way this shower door makes even my very small bathroom look a lot larger! Daily squeegee use is recommended; otherwise no special attention seems to be required. The only problem we had, at all, was with the delivery company. However, the item did arrive safely in the end, and I'm very happy with the results.

Haven't installed it yet but from the looks it is what I wanted. The parts look very good and sturdy and I think it will be easy to install. FaucetDirect was expedient, reliable, the unit was packaged very well, and I look forward to have it installed soon.

Can I use just the door and mount the hinges to a wall? or cut down stationary glass to a narrower width?
Actually you can do either with this door because it's to heavy to mount directly to the wall, and they don't recommend that you alter anything.
Can this be put on a tub as an enclosure or just a shower?
This item is only able to be installed with a shower only installation.
Do you carry a 24" wide clear glass door, hinged on the left for a shower with only a 24" wide opening?
The DreamLine SHDR-20247210F will work with your 24" opening.
Do you have a dreamline pivot door available in 46.125 to 46.25 inches?
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 Frameless Hinged Shower Door is 48" wide and comes in no other width. Dreamline SHDR-20467210S & SHDR-20467210 is a framless shower door 46"-47" wide
My custom shower is 51 1/2" inches wide. The doors are from 1956 and need updating. Can I use this assembly even though it will have a gap?
You could use the Dreamline SHDR-3148726 without problems. There would be a gap, make sure your showerhead wouldn't cause any significant splashback where the gap would be.
Can I cut the top of the metal frame 2 1/2" so that the glass continues to 72" but the frame would be 69 and one half inches.
Any modifications will void the manufacture warranty on the item, and is not recommended
can you get it in a slidin door
The DreamLine Aqua series is a hinged door only. Dreamline does have sliding doors like the SHDR-1060726.

The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 stationary panel is attached by the mounting bracket to the tray.

The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 is 1/4" tempered, clear glass.

The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 requires a shower pan that is at least as wide as the wall profile bracket that is just under 2" thick.
i need a door assembly for a 48" opening with one fixed panel is this available 76" high and how much?
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 has a 24 1/2" fixed panel and unfortunately is only 72" H at max.

What is the difference between this and the DreamLine SHDR-3245728 45-1/2" Reversible Pivot Shower Door from the AQUA PLUS Series?
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 has a wider overall with of 48" while the SHDR-3245728 is only 45 1/2". Also this product is from the Aqua Plus collection so it has 5/16", slightly thicker, glass and self-closing hinges.
Are you able to limit the range that the pivot door on the SHDR-3148726 can open, to be less then perpendicular to the stationary door? I have a toliet that is 2 inches past the stationary door.
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 hinges can't be altered or changed to stop the door from swinging open too far.
Can the SHDR-3148726 48"x 72" door be used on top of a tub . Thinking of this due to my son is 6' ft 4" worried about splash
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 is 72" high and that will be the only problem with mounting it on a tub. If your ceiling is tall enough to accommodate the door you should have no problems.
Can the door open inwards?

The Aqua series by Dreamline only comes in the 48" width. Dreamline SHDR-20607210 & SHDR-20607210S is a 60" wide door

is it possible to get the fixed glass to be an additional 12 inches wide? so a total width of 36" or better? IF not, may i attach a 12" panel of glass to the fixed segment of secure the top by alternate means than the strut provided?
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 fixed section cannot be extended. It is not recommended to mount this other than to a wall stud with brackets included.
it appears there are brackets in addition to the wall and floor channels for installation.
The DreamLine SHDR-3148726 does have brackets that attach to the wall and the stationary glass.
