Sometimes You Get It Just Right
I had never seen a product like this before but decided to order it. The look is subtle and sleek. So seamless that you do a double-take before realizing it's a glass door. But once you focus, "Oh Boy!" what an amazing look.

Not for use with body jets
I love the look of this door and it was well-installed by my contractor. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until after the fact that it would not work with body jets. Even though the jets are at the front of the shower, they are forceful enough to splash at the back of the tub, and water leaks (alot!) outside the enclosure. There is also slight leak at the hinge which I could live with if it were in my own bath -- I would wipe up the excess moisture; but it is in a teen's bath and no hope of that! A great looking door if you have only a fixed shower head and can put up with a very slight leak at the hinges. I will have to try a sliding glass door that provides complete closing.

I LOVE MY REVERSIBLE DOOR!!..LONGER THAN MOST TO PREVENT WATER LEAKAGE....TOP QUALITY PARTS....THICKNESS IS GREAT TO PREVENT BREAKAGE.. CLASSY!!!

I have never written product review online, but I had to do it this time.
Shower door arrived on time, good packaging prevented any chance of damage due to transportation. My contractor installed the door in no time, I love the bold look of it and it is very easy to maintain.
However, my contractor made a mistake and cut bottom antiwater plastic strip too short, so there was space where vertical plastic strip and bottom plastic strip meet, and water leaked through it.
I called Dreamline and they shipped me another bottom antiwater plastic strip at no charge.
I would certainly recommend purchasing Dreamline products.

expensive looking
I took a chance buying this shower door. I was afraid it would be flimsy. However, it exceeded my expectations and everyone who has seen it has raved about it.

I must be missing something-what is the difference from the SHDR-3148586?
The only real difference is that Dreamline SHDR-3348588 has 5/16" thick glass and the hinge on this is "self closing" whereas SHDR-3148586 has 1/4" thick glass and is a "standard" hinge.
What is the height of the fixed door panel?
The DreamLine SHDR-3348588 is 58" high.
Is the towel bar included and how wide is the stationary glass
The reversible glass door comes with handle. The stationary glass is approx 24" out of a total unit width of 48".
DO THE DOORS SWING INWARD ON EITHER DOOR OR JUST OUTWARD?
The DreamLine SHDR-3348588 door will only swing outward. It can be attached on the left or right side.
Do the wall mounted brackets need to be attached to a stud in the wall?
due to the weight the brackets are supporting it would be best if they are attached to a stud

I recently asked about a hole in the tub and believe I asked it incorrectly. I am curious if the installation requirements of this shower door require a hole TO BE DRILLED in the tub to provide support for the stationary panel. I have a tub without a hole there and want to know how the stationary panel connets to the tub, in addition to the hing supports and bar support at the wall.
No holes are required in the tub. I belive per the installtion manual it anchors to the wall. Some caulking would be required along the tub wall.
Does the glass in the Deamline series have a greenish tint? If so do you any that are clear with no tint?
The glass in the DreamLine SHDR-3348588 is clear and should not have a greenish tint.
The shower door swings inward or just outward?
The door for the DreamLine SHDR-3348588 swings outward only.
What is total weight of doors, can the movable door be set a little higher than the fixed door.
The DreamLine SHDR-3348588 weighs 40 lbs, you cannot stagger the shower doors as the holes for the mounting brackets are pre-drilled to line up each door.
Is there an opaque glass option for this?

What is meant by self-closing hinges? Will the door stay open if desired or does it always want to close shut?
The DreamLine SHDR-3348588 comes with self closing hinges which means that the door will slowly return to the closed position each time you open it.
What is the bottom clearance on the door as it swings outwards. I need to clear a raised edge trim
The clearance on the DreamLine SHDR-3348588 from the top of the tub to the bottom of the moving door measures 5/8".
Can this door be used with a fiberglass tub/shower combo?
The Dreamline SHDR-3348588 can be installed through a fiberglass unit as long as the enclosure has 90 degree square corners and the door is attached to a stud through the fiberglass.
Does this come with a bottom sweep to guarantee that no water will leak from from the bottom of the moving panel?
The DeamLine SHDR-3348588 does include a sill and sweep to prevent water getting under the door.
Does the swinging door fold all the way back to the stationary door?
The door only folds out up to 90 degrees.
