Elco's Surface Mount Mini downlights are an excellent source wherever a small powerful light is needed. The Mini lights may be recess-mounted. They can be dimmed with a low-voltage electronic dimmer. They can also be used with remote transformers. Elco has designed a wide variety of trims to go with these mini downlights.

is this direct wire, how many are needed for under cabinet lighting per foot?

The Elco E228S is direct wire, in that it can be wired directly or in series to the external transformer. The bulb itself puts out about 320 lumens
