3 Blade 60" Loft Indoor Ceiling Fan - Blades and Wall Control Included
Powerful, modern, not flashy, flush-mountable.
It seems that ceiling fans are unavoidably traditional looking. Most ceiling fans that do have a modern appearance are too trendy and flashy. A modern ceiling fan should not draw attention to itself. It is very hard to find one that accomplishes this, especially when you're looking for a "ceiling hugger" or flush-mount fan. The Emerson Loft fan solves both these problems. It's very simple and austere, yet attractive. Most people do not notice the fan at all, which I consider a great compliment. With an additional purchase of the 2.5" downrod (called the "close-to-ceiling" downrod or CFDR25), the fan can be installed so that it does not protrude more than 9.25" from the ceiling. That's closer to the ceiling than most of the flush-mount fans from other manufacturers, making it perfect for eight-foot ceilings. The hard-wired wall control included is nice; you never have to worry about losing a remote. Adding a light-kit is not possible; if you need a fan with a light, this won't work for you. This fan's performance on medium is more powerful than most fans at maximum speed. Don't install near a desk unless you want papers blown everywhere. There is a slight "helicopter" sound when operating on high. This is a great product. I bought another one for the bedroom.

Sleek, simple, powerful
The Emerson Loft fan has a great industrial look, at home in any contemporary setting. It blends in to our white ceiling unobtrusively. It's air moving power is exceptional, with its 60' wingspan. As with all 3 blade fans, expect a bit more "helicoptering" sound at the highest speed. However, the lower speeds are more than adequate for keeping our large living room breezy.
