Emtek's single cylinder mortise handlesets use traditional American mortise locks complete with a variety of trim styles, handcrafted from authentic materials. The mortise lock is operated by a key from the exterior, and a thumbturn from the interior. The door is opened via your choice of a variety of knob and lever options from both the exterior and the interior. Uncompromisingly rugged and beautifully crafted, these locks are suitable for the very finest homes.

Note: Dog Knob only available in Oil-Rubbed Bronze and Satin Nickel Finishes. Beaded Egg Knob, Belmont Knob, Lancaster Knob and Victoria Knob Handle Styles are not available in Pewter, Polished Chrome or Lifetime Polished Brass finishes.

The Classic Brass Collection's knob / lever handles are supported by springs mounted behind the rosettes and sideplates, which return the handles back to the rest position and prevent lever sag. The latches are heavy-duty die cast construction, with strong internal springs, solid brass nose bolts, and sintered metal cams. A plastic bushing located in the joint between the handle and the rosette ensures a friction-free wear surface, preventing metal from bearing on metal and providing smooth, long-lasting operation. Handles are positively connected to rosettes with a permanent clip. Each has a set screw which eliminates "handle wobble" when tightened. Emtek's threaded tubes are machined brass to ensure good threads and prevent corrosion.

Emergency Egress Function (F13 Option): Simply turning the interior knob or lever frees both the latch and deadbolt, allowing a quick and easy exit. Locks without this function may require you to unlock both deadbolt and latch as separate actions. In order to customize your mortise lock with the emergency egress function you must choose the F13 (Emergency Egress Function) UL Function option above.

Lock Out Button (F20 Option): Enables the user to lock the outside handle, this way the latch cannot be operated from the outside at any time except with the key. In order to customize your mortise lock with the lock out button function you must choose the F20 (Lock Out Button) UL Function option above.

UL Listed: This product has been rigorously tested to ensure that the design and craftsmanship meets the high safety standards of both Canada and the United States. This mortise lock also features a UL 180 minute fire rating.
