This Emtek handleset is a great choice for any front door. The Designer handleset is from Emtek’s ever popular Arts and Crafts collection. The Emtek 4811 is a single cylinder handleset, key operated from the exterior and opens from the interior with your choice of lever or knob. With this handleset customers have the option to choose a knob or lever for the interior, allowing you to find the perfect fit for your home. Note: Beaded Egg Knob, Dog Knob, Lafayette Brass Lever, Lancaster Knob, Ribbon & Reed Knob, Ribbon & Reed Lever, Rope Knob and Rope Lever not available in Flat Black finish. Hammered Egg Knob not available in Lifetime Polished Brass.

Beautiful & Heavy & Well Made
I chose this door set for my 106 yr old, Arts & Crafts Bungalow. Just installed a gorgeous new solid wood front entry door & I wanted something spectacular (like door jewelry!) to compliment it. This was the ONE! I chose the oiled bronze with the 'hammered egg' knob for inside -WOW! This piece really makes a statement - SO HAPPY!

Very Nice Quality
I ordered this handle set to go on a full stained glass Art Deco mission style front door. It goes great!! I love the patena look. The set looks as beautiful from the outside as inside. I made a great choice. If you like Art Deco Missiom this one is for you!!!

Excellent Quality
These handlsets are great. They look very nice against a solid Douglas Fir entry door with a clear oil finish. The oil rubbed bronze and hammered finish is very eye-catching. Solid brass latches are good too.
The build quality is excellent, it feels solid to the touch. Installation is quite straightforward. The supplied template works well. Holes for the deadbolt latch must be very accurate.

Beautiful product
I purchased the Emtek 4811 in oil rubbed bronze and it's a beautiful handleset! I was worried it wouldn't be a solid, well made product because of the low price (it was on sale), but I have no regrets.
I definitely recommend this product.

Beautiful handleset and a great price
This handleset is simply beautiful. It's heavy and feels very solid. It looks great and the finish is exactly what i expected. I called them to place my order and the person I spoke with was very helpful and if not for him, I would have order the wrong thing. The order arrived as scheduled and the price was the best around.

Beautiful on red doors
Looks gorgeous on eight foot double front doors with a dummy set on one door. The polished brass finish is just beautiful on our new red doors. Just installed, but functioning well, seems high quality and elegant.

what safety rating does this handleset have?
The Emtek 4811 is considered Grade 3 for residential use.
Do you have a dummy set for the second door of my French doors?
The dummy set that matches the Emtek 4811 is the Emtek 4801.
Is there a dummy available for the other door?
The Emtek dummy in the same format as the 4811 is the Emtek 4801.
How wide is the backplate?
The Emtek 4811 plate is 3" wide.
Is it possible to order this with 2 of the interior side backplates and a standard knob (no large handle desired)?
From what you are saying, I think you are wanting to order a keyed entry knob and then a deadbolt? This is possible with Emtek. You may want to try calling us and we can help show you some possibilities.
How is this handleset locked from the inside?
The Emtek 4811 is a single cylinder lock so it is keyed on the outside and the inside has a thumb turn.
What is the distance from the center of the handle bore to the through bore you drill through the door for the bottom of the handset? Is the through bore bolt adjustable up and down like some Schlage models?
The Emtek 4811 will have a distance of 8-5/8" between the bottom screw hole and the bore hole for the handleset portion. From the bottom screw hole to the deadbolt bore hole measures 14.125".
Is there a mortis lock assembly available for the Emtek 4811?
The Emtek 4811 Arts and Crafts is only available in Double Cylinder, Single Cylinder and Dummy configurations.
What is the use of the interconnect device?
The interconnected device connects the deadbolt and the lever mechanisms together. So, if locked, turning the inside lever would also unlock the deadbolt. This helps during emergencies when the door must be unlocked and opened quickly.
What is the bore hole size?
The Emtek 4811 uses a standard 2 1/8" bore hole.
