Easy to install Light was to replace the outdated flurescent in the kitchen. The light is lightweight, but not cheap looking. I had to cut out some of the insulation because it stuck out of the side. All of the hardware was included. The trick to install the last clamp is to PULL on it so you can put the glass shade in. I brought the 20 inch size. It was great for the kitchen. Gives off enough light for a 12X12 kitchen. It arrived in about 8 days. great light for the price. October 1, 2010

what is the glass - does it look like the alabaster finish? it is hard to tell by the picture. thanks

how can I open this to change the bulb

You will have to unscrew the clips that are holding the glass in place, in order to change the bulbs.

Is the glass texture different on Antique bronze option different from the other ones? It seems to have tiny "scratches", whereas the other 2 colors look marbled. Is Rustic Sienna glass color off-white or beige?

The Forte Lighting 2199-04 Antique Bronze is different, it has random lines in the glass like fabric would. And the Rustic Sienna glass is a white marble glass.

What is the UL rating for this light

The Forte Lighting 2199-04 is not UL rated. It is meant to be used indoors in a dry location.
