How far does the mirror stick out from the wall?

The Gatco 4109S projection is approximately 3"

Does the 23 1/2" width include the hinges?

The 23.5" width is for the mirror itself and including the brackets the width is 27.6".

Can this mirror be mounted horizontally?

The Gatco 4109S can only be installed vertically, as shown in the picture.

Can I change the orientation so it is 23-1/2 in. high?

The Gatco 4109S cannot be mounted with the brackets on the short sides.
