3.3 Cubic Foot Washer with 5.9 Cubic Foot Electric Dryer Combo
broke quickly; dryer ate clothes
I would not recommend this product. The dryer was hot and quickly dried clothes, which was good. The bad part is that it also ruined many of them. It would pull out zippers, buttons, snaps (like on my son's onesies), and drawstrings. Things would be twisted tightly even if put in carefully. We had to fully zip and snap everything to try and protect it before being put in the dryer. Then the washer broke within two years of purchase. The repair person told us the fix would cost more than a new unit. That is quite upsetting; major appliances should last longer than this and be able to be repaired instead of sent to the landfill.

Different Info depends on who you talk to before purchase
Like it. However, I called GE Tech line 3x, asked about electric connection. Each time I was told my electrician would have to run a 220 AND a 110 for the washer. Of course the manuals say nothing specific. We could not find any 110 connect, and after we hooked it up, washer/dryer get its power through the 220 plug. QUALITY control......there were 2 screws on the back panel at the top that were only screwed in partially. Scares me that internal connects my be 'loose', I spoke to GE after the delivery, they offered to send a tech out to take it all apart to see! It shakes a little bit more than in the store, its level, and Im concerned that something may not be 'tight' inside.

Performs well. No Problems. Fits Small space but large capacity
I've only had the machine for a week but have used it multiple times. I have not experienced any of the problems other reviewers have mentioned. We replaced our decrepit unit with this model and it fit in the same space but the load capacity was surprisingly large. Also, I have no problem with noise (obviously it makes some noise, but not bad at all) and find that it washes and drys fairly quickly. One reviewer said that it wrinkles clothes but I have found quite the opposite.
I have bought more expensive full sized stackables and I have to admit that this unit compares quite nicely.
I would recommend it.

SO LUCKY TO FIND!!!
It's a great machine! A lot of new noises, from the old one I had,but if you go on this site & watch the helpful video verses your old machine you'll feel alot better.NEW technology sets aside the up & down motions of the spidel to wash your clothes with the new motor side to side.Technology has found a new way to wash your clothes BETTER!!! Both washer & dryer full capacity, like the regular side by side models,75" from floor to top,x26 and a 4th inches wide. The dryer has a 20min.dewrinkle cycle & the washer has an auto-load sensor,so if you don't have enough water in the barrel it will refill for you.....

Buttons come off from shirts, cloths get damaged in dryer
I have this model in my apartment. Everytime I use the dryer couple of buttons come out from shirts and sometimes cloths get torn. I don't know what the issue is. But it looks like many people are having the issue.
The washer also has some issue while filling water. It tries to find out how much cloths are there and fill water. The funny thing is at some point the water is drained and filled again. So you just loose your soap water with this.
Interesting thing is GE is still unaware of this issue regardless of many reviews on the product web page and several other places.

Several Problems with washer, dryer fine
I bought this in January of 2013. Dryer is fine, but washer has had problems.
I have had 2 service calls and the circuit replaced since the washer gets 'stuck' on the rinse cycle. It worked fine for awhile and recently started again with the same problem. I now no longer use the auto-load sensing option and it has been working much better. I will wait and see how long this improvement lasts before calling for service again.
In addition, I use the delicate cycle most of the time since the clothes come out very wrinkled otherwise.

Quite, affordable, you can't beat GE for valu
I needed a new W/D unit for my small living space and when I went to purchase I had to look no further when I saw this model of the GE apt size unit. I could not wait to get it home so I went from store to store until I found one that could make the delivery promptly. I could not believe how quiet it operated. I was not disappointed! Thanks GE for another Great product. I must replace the rest of my appliances 1 by 1. Recently returning to College at the age of 50+ makes price point critical. Check it out you won't be sorry!

Ideal space solution without sacrifice
I had a small closet in a tight space for the w/d in this older home I bought. I didn't want to sacrifice laundry capacity and durability in an affordable appliance. This product fit perfectly, installation simple and minimally uncomfortable for an able wiry person with long arms. Had we verified the dryer plug was correct before delivery this would have been the delivery/nstallation serviceman's problem.
I highly recommend application of appliance floor sliders at the time of installation. This is a heavy machine with easy to reach and clean tubs.
The ease of transfer of wet laundry to the dryer is my favorite feature. Both washer and dryer provide ample variety of features, nicest of all is the auto load sensing water saving setting. Has shaved dollars off my utiltiy bills.

This product has great features
There is a lot of space in this machine.I can now do a lot of towels and King sized sheets and comforter covers and small rugs. It fits where much smaller machine was but had to remove door because design was made for smaller machine. It is quiet, important in condo.Only wish i have is that it vented without the "snake and bucket". But the ones that were "ventless" were much higher prices and smaller tubs.We paid for pro installation and that meant all new and works like a charm.:~)

Exceeded my expectations for performance!
Researched and read reviews. This was an excellent unit for the minimal space I have. The past six years I tried a competitors so called energy efficient model. It wasn't. I can save far more water and electricity just by the sheer capacity of this unit.
The clothes are cleaner and this unit is a time saver. Would recommend for anyone who has a space restriction but still desires a full size top quality laundry center.
