Is the escutcheon of this white or chrome? Hard to tell from pic.
A. The Grohe 19 312 is completely chrome.
Will this control the water volume AND temps?
A. The Grohe 19 312 is a typical, pressure balanced trim, which will turn the pressure on full once activated and then adjust temperature accordingly to the position of the handle. It will not control pressure and temperature independently.
Does this handle work with a 3/4-inch rough-in and if so what is the correct 3/4-inch rough-in part to buy?
A. The Grohe 19 312 pressure balanced valve can only use a 1/2 inch connection rough-in. Thermostatic valves can use 3/4 inch connections, but you'll need a volume control.
Is this style available with a diverter?
A. Unfortunately, the Grohe Arden Collection has not produced a shower trim with an integrated diverter as of yet.
Hi, I asked a question about 19 312 and 13 611, but you said they don't work together? What kind of diverter do I need to get to use 19 312 for both shower and tub spout? Thanks!
A. The Grohe 19 312 with the 35 015 valve recommended should be able to be used with a tub spout diverter if you do not want to install a second handle on the wall for tub spout control; which option would you be interested in?
How do I order the handle that goes with this?
A. The Grohe 19 312 will come with the handle, however you might consider purchasing the 35 015 rough-in valve.
If the handle comes with it then why does the product description say Single handle valve "TRIM ONLY"?
A. Trim only refers to just the exposed shower control but not the rough-in valve. You will want to purchase the Grohe 35 015 rough-in to complete installation.
Is the trim plastic?
A. Thanks for your question. The Grohe 19 312 will have plastic parts inside the trim, the parts that show will be metal.
Can I use a 35-252 rough in valve with this trim?
A. Yes, The Grohe 19 312 will work with the 35 252.
