A. The Grohe 19 827 handle does have a porcelain center cap.
How wide is the base of this faucet? Do you have any with a wider base?
A. The diameter of this volume control is 2 7/16". The Allure products with square bases will be 2 3/4" squared providing more surface area to cover an existing installation.
For a bathtub, do you use two of these, one for hot and one for cold?
A. The Grohe 19 827 is strictly used for volume control on 29 273 (1/2") or 29 274 (3/4") volume control rough-in valves.
How is this different from # 19-829 ?
A. The Grohe 19 827 is designed to work with Grohe's Seabury collection and the Grohe 19 829 is designed to complement the look and style of the Geneva Collection. It's just subtle styling differences, the main one you will notice is the backing plate on the 19 829 has several rings and the 19 827 does not have the rings, but the base plate projects out a bit more from the wall.
Does "single handle" mean that one handle controls both hot and cold?
A. The Grohe 19 827 is a volume control so it controls the amount of water that comes out.
