A. Unfortunately, the Grohe 27 421 is not available in Brushed Nickel.

Is this a fully self-contained system, i.e. built-in temperature/volume controls, exposed rough-in, etc. or are other items required to make this fully functional?

A. The Grohe 27 421 is the shower head and handheld only, you would still need a valve and shower trim to make it fully functional.

What kind of wall supply elbow is needed for this product?

A. The Grohe 27 421 does not require a wall supply elbow. The item is installed as a standard shower installation with a built in diverter. I bought this item, the rough in valve, and the Grohe 19347 shower valve, how is the water fed into the shower system? I fail to see where it connects.

A. The hot and cold water supplies attach to the rough in valve.

When I add this item to the cart, it does not give me an option to purchase the rough-ins like some of the other products do, are the rough-ins included with this purchase?

A. The Grohe 27 421 does not require any rough ins. The diverter is built in allowing you to switch between the shower head and hand shower. You will still need a pressure balanced trim and rough in to turn the water on and off, and control the temperature.

There are two silver hoses in this system. One of them connects to the hand held shower and the other is supposed to be connected to a rough in? If that's correct than it means that one of the hoses will go right into the wall, right?

A. The Grohe 27 421 has one side of the hose hooked up to the hand shower and the other side hooked up to a elbow near the diverter

A. The Grohe 27 421 is an all-inclusive unit and should not be used with any other valve and trim.

A. The shower head is 6 5/16" in diameter. You can attach any head with a 1/2" connection.
