Is this item made out of metal or plastic?

The Grohe 28 629 is made of brass with a chrome finish.

is this peace solid metal crome plated if not show me one

The Grohe 28 629 has a solid brass nipple inside, the outside is copper nickel plated ABS plastic

Does other brand hand shower fit in this shower holder?

The Grohe 28 629 is a versatile piece. Ideally, any handshower can fit, regardless of brand. But, given various styles, shapes and materials, we can't guarantee that every handshower will fit.

I just got this item and its made from plastic. Pipe that can't be seen is indeed made from brass with chrome finish.

Grohe makes these out of a plastic compound, this product is still warranted and is safer because it does not get very hot like metal does.

Will this fit any standard shower hose with conical nut?

The Grohe 28 629 uses a 1/2" connection and should attach to a standard shower hose
