excellent, clears countertop of cleaning "stuff"
Works just fine. Set at my kitchen sink. Goes nicely with my Bridgeford faucet set. This was one of those last minute ideas that got the goopy looking soap bottle off my countertop. (That and the drop down drawer where the sponge, etc. now lives, out of sight.) No clogging, as mentioned in other reviews, but I use it every time I'm at sink.

works well, over-priced
This soap dispenser looks nice with our Grohe faucet and works well. It's possible to dispense soap onto a sponge one-handed which is great for doing dishes. It's smaller than I would have imagined. Only complaint is that it's really over-priced. We purchased a Kohler dispenser at the same time and that works well and seems like much more of a value.

Grohe soap pump jams
We had a soap clog in a Grohe soap dispenser in our vacation condo. It (a 28751, I think) has a straight spout with a tiny hole drilled at right angles to the tube axis near the end. It was working fine when we bought the place, but when we returned after a seven moth seasonal absence, it was clogged. We tried all the fixes that "matthias" of San Diego tried, with identical results. Like "m", we were about to give up, until I tried incrementalism. Eureka! Sorry about the pun, Matthias.
I don't think the problem has anything to do with the brand. The clog occurred because the pump wasn't used for months. The liquid soap had dried out in a Florida condo with the A/C set to maintain humidity below 30%. It had turned to epoxy. After loosening up all I could with wire (copper, a single strand from lamp cord) I submerged, upside it in hot water in the deepest plastic container I could get my hand into. Tiny bubbles come out of both ends. When they stopped, I whacked it against the bottom of the soft plastic bucket, releasing more bubbles. When whacking brought no more bubbles out, I let it sit for a clouple of hours. Then I whacked the open end of the top housing against the palm of my hand, and water came out, with a few soap bubbles. Back to wire probing and submersion. Two days of doing this dissolved the soap.
Hints for anyone with any brand of dispenser with a tight spout: 1. Don't use super concentrated hand soap with the consistency of cold honey. Thick liquid soap will dry out more quickly than thinner soaps. 2. If you are not going to use it for a while, pull out the entire pump, and pump water through until mostly water is coming out. You don't have to empty the bottle unless you are leaving for many. many months.
I hope this is helpful. Maybe the webmaaster can forward it to Matthias. FYI, when I finish this review, I'm going to order two (2) 28750's for our principal home. Proof of my faith in Grohe and FaucetDirect.

Unable to Unclog
We did a remodel in 2009 and used Grohe fixtures because we wanted quality. The finish and appearance are great, however the soap dispenser became clogged after only a few months use and I have been unable to clear the tip. The pump works fine when removed from the head so the clog is in the metal part of the dispenser. I have tried threading a wire through which doesn't quite make it all the way and has to bend. I have tried compressed air. I have tried boiling it. Nothing will remove the clog and since it is not defective only a poor design for unclogging - I will probably replace with another brand.
