The Hager 3870 escutcheon mortise classroom lever set features a latchbolt that is retracted by lever from either side unless outside is locked by key. It is unlocked from outside by key. The inside lever is always free for immediate exit. an auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt when door is closed.
