Honeywell Wi-Fi 7 Day Programmable Thermostat WiFi
An excellent product and now I can check and adjust the temperature of my home from afar. Also, there is a low temp set and if the house gets below that Honeywell sends me an email.
My existing thermostat setting was not compatible with this Honeywell but their exceptional tech support stepped me through how to add an additional 24Volt transformer and it is working like a dream. Amazing technology. Will be helping my sons and friends add this to their homes!!!

Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat
this unit did not meet my expectations. i found its backlit screen to be unfriendly. the unit display turns off and then you cannot read it without pushing a button - which puts the unit into a different screen and requires more button pushing.
also, i found that turning furnace power off (we do that in the summer) killed the thermostat - so we would need to re-program the stat at least two times a year. NOT IDEAL!
the old non Wi-Fi stat did not have these problems. We are returning the Wi-Fi stat for a refund.

I bought this after putting in the same thermostat in the downstairs of the house. After I tried it out I liked it well enough to get the same one for the upstairs. I really like the app you can use from your phone to change the temperature and that's the main feature I was looking for when purchasing this. It occasionally will lose connection and I'll have to pop it off and pop it back on to reset it but it doesn't happen often enough to be a big deal. The online scheduler is the way to program it. Don't even bother setting it from the actual thermostat as it takes at least twice as long to do it that way. I would give it five stars except for the fact it occasionally loses connection.
The install was a snap, just gave it to my husband and said, here, install this. The first one took him about 20 minutes and the second maybe 15. Granted, he's good at this kind of stuff so if you're not you might want to hire a professional.

Great customer service
I had installation problems that Honeywell finally decided was due to a faulty unit. I contacted customer support and they promptly sent out a new unit. They were very helpful. I will also note that, while Honeywell's technical support was obviously outsourced, the technician was very knowledgeable and did not insult my intelligence.

Honeywell's Customer Service is THE WORST !!!!
Honeywell's Customer Service is THE WORST !!!! This review is purely based on the Customer Service of Honeywell. I had some issues with my Thermostat that I needed help with. So, I called their Customer Service number. I called a total of 8 times - 6 times I had to wait over 30 minutes on the phone & never reached a representative because I had to hang up. Who has over 30 minutes to wait on hold???? Twice when it seemed I was actually going to speak to someone, I was hung up on. After having no luck calling them, I tried emailing them. That did NOT turn out to be a better option. 24 DAYS later, I received a return email to my request for assistance w/ my Thermostat. This is what the email said - "We apologize for the delay in response as we have been experiencing a high volume of emails. If your issue is unresolved please reply to this email or for immediate assistance please call us at 1-855-733-5465." If you decide to purchase a Honeywell product.... BUYER BEWARE ! You'll be on your own. Honeywell's Customer Service is NON- EXISTENT.
