Would you please describe exactly how the cord would be situated using the picture of the mantle above? Would it hang over the edge in front?

The House of Troy MA14 is going to have a 10' cord coming from the light side with an inline on/off switch. The cord will lay on top of the mantle and then down the side to the outlet.
